The Alter ST46B is a ceiling-mounted presence and motion sensor for automatic lighting control. The sensor switches on the connected lighting when a person or other source of thermal radiation moves within the detection area, and switches it off after the set time delay.

A 360° detection angle and a reaction range of up to 20 m make it suitable for covering larger areas. The IP65 protection rating allows the sensor to be used both indoors and outdoors, for example in a corridor, stairwell, garage, under a canopy, or in technical rooms.
