Underground cables
Underground cables are designed for underground installation, where the cable must withstand moisture, crushing, temperature fluctuations and compressive loads. Strong insulation and multi-layer construction ensure that the cable works reliably even in difficult soil conditions. Underground cables are used as power cables in buildings, in outdoor infrastructure, gardens, outdoor lighting and industrial installations.
Underground cables are usually reinforced with shielding, fillers and an outer sheath that protect them from mechanical damage. A layer of sand and protective shields are often used during installation to ensure the safety and long-term performance of the cable.
These cables are suitable for situations where wiring needs to be completely hidden and reliable for long-term operation even underground.
