Note on weight: Lemona's technical data table lists the weight as 6.2 kg, but both the Lemona product description and the official BLUETTI specification state the weight of the panel as 4.9 kg. For the online store, I would use the manufacturer's figure of 4.9 kg.

Monocrystalline cells with up to 23.4% efficiency

The PV100D uses monocrystalline solar cells, which have a maximum efficiency of 23.4% according to the manufacturer. Higher efficiency allows for good charging power from a relatively compact panel when it is correctly oriented towards the sun.

Actual output power always depends on sunlight intensity, panel angle, temperature, and any potential shading. Therefore, a nominal power of 100 W does not mean that the panel will provide 100 W continuously in all conditions.

Foldable and easy to install

The PV100D is designed for portable use. For transport, the panel can be folded to dimensions of 595 × 565 × 35 mm and opened to 1135 × 600 mm for use.

Integrated kickstands allow the panel to be placed at an appropriate angle relative to the sun. For best results, the panel should be pointed as directly as possible towards the sun, avoiding even partial shading.

Standard MC4 connectors

The PV100D uses MC4 standard connectors, which are widely used for solar panels. Because of this, the panel is not limited to only one specific BLUETTI power station.

It can be used with a suitable power station if:

• the power station supports the panel's output voltage;
• the permitted PV input current is sufficient;
• the power station's PV input supports the panel's power;
• the correct MC4 charging cable or adapter is used.

For example, with an XT60 input power station, a suitable MC4-to-XT60 charging cable can be used.

Well-suited for BLUETTI power stations

The 100 W panel is practical primarily for charging smaller and medium-sized portable power stations.

For example, with the previously reviewed BLUETTI Premium 30 V2 320 Wh power station, a 100 W panel is already much more practical than a 60 W option. The ideal mathematical charging time would be 320 Wh / 100 W = 3.2 hours, but in real-world use, one must account for a longer duration.

The PV100D can also be used with larger 864 Wh, 1024 Wh, or 2304 Wh power stations, provided the electrical parameters are compatible; however, full charging with a single 100 W panel will be quite slow. For such power stations, it is worth considering using a higher total solar panel power capacity.

Using multiple panels

When using multiple PV100D panels, you must always check the power station's maximum PV input voltage, input current, and allowed power.

Depending on the connection method, the voltage and current of the panel string will change, and the power station's allowed limits must not be exceeded. BLUETTI recommends using the same type of panels together in a multi-panel system.

Outdoor use

BLUETTI states the IP rating of the PV100D connection box as IP67, but the manufacturer simultaneously points out that a portable panel should not be left in rain or snow. This is not a solar panel intended for permanent roof installation.

It is primarily a portable panel that is taken out for use and, after charging, folded up and stored in a dry place.

Important to know

The solar panel's 100 W is the maximum nominal power under standard test conditions. In real-world use, charging power may be lower. Results are influenced by, among other things, cloud cover, the season, the sun's altitude, the panel's tilt angle, temperature, and shading.

To get the best charging result, the panel should be placed in direct sunlight, its angle adjusted throughout the day, and care taken that no part of the panel is in the shade. BLUETTI highlights these same factors in its PV100D usage recommendations.
